transformation

IMG_7440I carry this picture with me to remind myself of where I came from. This is something I never want to forget. I don’t want to forget because it makes me feel so good to see how far I’ve come with my own health. I don’t want to write a huge story about this, but I’d love to see where you’ve come from.

We all have a story and many of us have already gone through so much.

Every one of us is at some stage of transformation, whether in a forward or backward direction. My hope is that anyone reading this is headed in the healing and helpful direction. If you’re reading this and you’re not doing so great, know that you can talk to me. I get stopped in the halls at school, and I get private messages and emails all the time from people who want a word of encouragement. I don’t charge for that!

Anyway, check out this picture of me from right before I began my ketogenic diet. It’s circa 2000 on the left side of the picture and I’m looking happy but you can really see the inflammation on my face. Many who see this say they don’t recognize me… but I’m in there. On the right is also me, from last year at Easter. Totally different and much much healthier.

It feels good to feel good and I’m so thankful for how far I’ve come.
